Roger and Joanna offer private lessons, clinics, and courses for people of all standards or ages - from basic handling to those seeking more advanced competition success. Their teaching is inspirational, intuitive and uniquely tailored to suit anyone who is keen to learn!
All are welcomed by the Day’s! Their unique approach, techniques and strategies can improve every horse, whatever their problems- and human’s whatever their aspirations!
Joanna is a BHSI, BD and BE Accredited Trainer and works with riders to build a successful partnership with their horse- and improve their leadership and control skills. Roger is a renowned horseman and FEI Chief Steward - he is the expert on young stock handling, show prep and overcoming problems such as fear of start boxes, loading, napping etc. Both have a long lifetimes successful experience of helping horses and riders to achieve their aims. They bred top class horses including the great Primmore’s Pride and have helped several world class riders as well as many more ordinary mortals! Each prefer to work ‘one on one’ or maybe with 2 compatible clients sharing. Intensive schooling livery is sometimes available for a maximum of two horses at a time. (Click here to find out more about our work).
Roger & Joanna have use of a small private yard and excellent farm facilities for dressage, jumping, remedial training or ground work in Somerset, not far from Junctions 24/25 of the M5. There is plenty of space for lorries etc, and local B&B’s can be arranged.
A day or two of intensive one to one or shared tuition in a friendly atmosphere makes a great learning experience. They teach a maximum of 4 people per day. Average cost for 1 day about £130 per person. A 50% deposit secures a place. Please email for availability and current prices (Click here for latest information and dates).

Thank you again for our lessons, and for the delicious cake!’ Sue P, Devon July 2009
